Feeling stuffed and a bit stiff from the holidays? Perhaps even a mild depression that prevails this time of year with less time in the sun?

Yoga twisting poses are a great way to:

* Combat digestive issues including gas, bloating, and feelings of stuffiness. When you twist, the organs in the abdomen get compressed and in the release of the twist blood rushes to those organs replenishing and nourishing their power. Isn’t that cool? Exercise for the internal organs!

* Reduce anxiety and stress.

Here’s a simple twist anyone can follow. You can do it with your kids too they will love it.

Lie on your back on the floor. Bring your knees to your chest and move your hips to the right a bit, while your knees fall to the left. If they don’t touch the floor use a pillow to support them while your right shoulder is down on the floor.Hold for thirty seconds to a minute.

Then do the other side. Easy.
