Ten Essential Oil Tips for Emotional Health

 Dear friends,

Ayurveda, an integrative and preventative healing science dating back 3,000 to 5,000 years, teaches us that our bodies are composed of a combination of the elements: Ether, Air, Fire Water, and Earth. Any imbalance in these elements can cause disturbances in our health and well-being. Being in harmony with nature both within and without is at the core of Ayurvedic’s anti-aging and preventative lifestyle approach.

Our sense of smell is the most powerful built-in tool or gem to help us realign, rejuvenate, gain clarity, and find peace. Technically, aromatherapy affects the limbic part of our brains which is connected to our emotions and to the endocrine system. As women, we know that emotions are like waves. Some are larger and stronger at times and some are like trickling waves slowly approaching the beach sand. Essential oils are nature’s gifts when it comes to balancing emotions and increasing awareness.

The following are “ten’ essential oils for various emotional states:

1. Mood Swings- Geranium oil
2.Anxiety- Lavender, Frankincense and Sandalwood
3. Anger-Jasmine, Rose. Sage
4.Confidence-Jasmine and rosemary
5.Depression-Lavender, Juniper
6.Fear-YlangYlang, Neroli
7.Grief/Loss- Rose, Ylang/Ylang, Neroli
8.Hormone Balance-Clary Sage, Holy Basil
9.Grounding- Vetiver
10.Fatigue ( mental, emotional, physical)-Nutmeg, Juniper, Geranium

How do I apply?
Add two or three drops of essential oil with a carrier oil. Apply to bottom of feet or behind neck and wrists. You can also make a body oil by adding ten drops to your favorite oil.
Diffusing oils in a cool mist will provide all benefits of essential oils.

Quality matters when it comes to what you put on your body.
