What does it mean to take back your power?

Dear friends,

Taking back one's power is a deeply personal process that can look different for each woman, but it is ultimately about living in alignment with one's true self ( one of the goals of Ayurveda), asserting autonomy, and feeling empowered by one's choices.

Some key factors are :

1. Recognizing one's value without relying on external validation.

2. Setting boundaries, both personal and professional can protect our emotional, mental, and physical well-being! Learning to say NO and prioritizing our own needs is key. Blaming is a distraction and an excuse.

3. Making decisions that align with our values, goals, and interests.

4. Overcoming past trauma. The best thing you can do for yourself is heal yourself of past trauma that has contributed to a loss of power or control. Engaging in therapeutic practices such as the arts, music, dance, Marma sessions, yoga, meditation, and groups will all support moving past these experiences. Healing is the journey you take for yourself.

5. Achieving financial stability and independence provides a foundation for making empowered choices.

6. Prioritizing mental and emotional health through self-care practices, therapy, and mindfulness. Reducing stress allows the ability to handle life's challenges.

7. Engaging in communities or groups that foster empowerment and mutual support.

I share photos of flowers because I feel like the healing process is like a flower- petals opening one at a time. Each step we take toward our inner power is a step toward joy and into our inner light.
