Did you know you can “cool ‘ down your body with your breath?

Summer heat is both agitating to the mind and body. Have you noticed? Here is a simple daily practice ┬áthat is cooling and calming. On an empty stomach , try practicing ten rounds at a time up to 8 minutes of alternate nostril breathing. When you stop, sit and enjoy the circulating energy. Start slowly and increase. This practice also balances the left and right brain hemispheres, balances the nervous system as well as male , female energies. Who doesn’t need some of that?

Simply hold closed your right nostril with your thumb, breathe in deeply through your left nostril then with your middle finger close the left nostril and exhale through the right side. Then breathe in through the right side and close the right with your thumb at the top of inhale, pause and then exhale on the left. Repeat.
