Estrogen- The Good vs Bad

Dear friends,

There is good and bad estrogen. It's important to know about as women.

Estrogen is a vital hormone for many bodily functions particularly in reproductive health. However, not all estrogen is the same and needs to be understood for breast health and hormone balance.
There are a few types of estrogen and the liver plays a key role in the process.
Good estrogen supports skin elasticity, bone, reproductive and cardiovascular health. It also provides anti-inflammatory effects and supports cognitive function.
Bad estrogen increases the risk of hormone-sensitive cancers, promotes abnormal cell growth, and can lead to uterine fibroids and endometriosis.

What can you do to support a healthy estrogen balance?
Diet- eat broccoli- kale, and brussels sprouts at least once a day which promotes the metabolism of good estrogen.
Fiber- plenty of fiber helps eliminate excess estrogen.
Liver support- Dandelion tea, and milk thistle aid proper estrogen metabolism.
Flax seeds
Regular exercise
Reduce toxins in plastics and other hormone disrupters.

Getting a hormone panel from your doctor allows you to see your estrogen levels.

Being proactive rather than waiting is key!

with fierce love,
Gedalia
