Ayurveda, which means “science of life” is a 5,000 year old system of health about being in harmony with rhythms of nature.

Imagine understanding your body as a microcosm of nature with all the elements included: ether, air, fire, water and earth. For example: Air governing all bodily movements; Fire governing digestion, metabolism; Water, the blood; and Earth the bones.

By understanding the “quality” of an imbalance in the body, ayurveda uses opposite remedies to bring balance. For example: for  constipation which is considered a “dry” quality or “vata” imbalance , Ayurveda recommends cooking with ghee and doing Abhyanga; self massage with sesame or almond oil. This is very effective and simple.

Learning how to balance these elements in the body through Ancient Ayurvedic  wisdom and practices holds great merit in the unfolding of not only your health, but in actualizing your full potential as a human being.

By aligning ourselves with nature through simple nutritional understanding and gentle daily habits we can actually raise our vibrational energy which results in improved health on all levels.
