How to Lose Belly Fat/ The Role Of Leptin

More and more people every day ask questions about how to lose belly fat. They claim they “eat well” which can mean a variety of things.  I hear comments like ” I eat salads all day and I don’t poop “or ” I am vegan, my hair is falling out and I feel weak”” I eat lots of fruit” so I should be losing weight.

If you want your body to cooperate with your desire to lose weight, pay attention to your levels of the weight -loss hormone leptin because of its critical role in fat loss!!

Leptin is hormone like messenger protein produced in large amounts by fat tissue and in smaller amounts by organs and is then secreted into the bloodstream, where it travels to the brain and other tissues, causing fat loss and decreased appetite. It has been found that when a person reduces their sugar intake to less than 16 grams per day and carbs to about 120 grams  per day the hormone LEPTIN is secreted and begins to help you to lose not only weight but belly fat; the unwanted fat that is dangerous to your health!

To support the release of leptin from the bloodstream here are two suggestions:

Life Extension a science based supplement company makes a product called  Integra-Lean Irvingia- 150 mg. Irvingia supports leptin sensitivity. Leptin can also break down stored triglycerides infat cells. People who are overweight have startlingly high levels of leptin in their blood, indicating that they have become resistant to the leptin that is supposed to prevent them from putting on so many pounds. Irvingia through a  recent study has demonstrated beneficial effects on leptin blood levels, followed by weight reduction from reduced calories.

Recently on Dr. Oz, Jorge Cruise  author of The Belly Fat Cure was on describing this principle which he based his book on. I recommend everyone read this and understand how to balance your sugar and carbs to an amount which releases leptin and helps you lose belly fat. I have been following this program for some time and share it with as many people as I can. It is not a diet it’s a lifestyle .By keeping the blood sugar sustained every three hours by eating the right amounts of protein, carbs and fat which you can find in the chart in the back of the book it helps balance your energy ,balances hormones, reduces  inflammation, releases leptin and the weight comes off.

This program can work for anyone young , middleaged or older. I have seen people get off medications with this program, and so much more. This supports evidence about what’s happening in our culture called “metabolic syndrome” simply caused by incorrect eating.
