The Benefits Of Geranium Oil

W Dear friends,

Welcome to my weekly blog. Glad you are here.

The freshness of Spring can lend to brightening your environment with diffusing essential oils. Don't have a diffuser? Dilute a few drops of oil with a carrier oil ( sesame, coconut, almond oil) and apply to the skin as a massage oil or on the feet, chest or behind the neck.

Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years both in Ayurvedic medicine, Egyptian medicine, Chinese and Tibetan healing. Although modern science does not promote the value of oils they are still used extensively in natural healing for children, and adults both on the body and diffused into one's environment.

Essential oils work quickly on the emotional center of the brain called the "limbic".  They are also the "immune" protectors of the plants. Pretty amazing.
It doesn't take but a few minutes to begin to feel the positive affects of using an oil.

Another essential oil I am drawn to use frequently both persoanlly and professionally is " geranium ".
It's comforting fragrance can reduce anxiety, depression and is effective in pain management. It is simply uplifting.
I also like to take a drop and put it in my face moisturizer. In this case you would not want to apply it to an open cut or sore. Geranium oil is thought to have antibacterail, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

The quality of the oil matters. Therapeutic grade is preferred.

If you know me I am a huge fan of essential oils. They are also fun to blend. I use them in my Marma sessions with women to reduce pain and stress, and to aid in whatever issues a woman might be having.
